Connect your LinkedIn

How the one-time Chrome extension setup works, which account gets connected, and how to check the connection is live.

Before you start

  • Use Google Chrome on a desktop computer. The extension doesn't run on phones or tablets — if you're on mobile, the app offers to email you the link so you can finish on desktop.
  • Sign in to linkedin.com in that same Chrome browser with the account you want your agent to work on. The extension connects the LinkedIn account that's currently signed in — your main account.

Install and connect

  1. At the end of onboarding, the Connect your LinkedIn card appears with an Install extension button.
  2. Click it — the extension's install page opens in a new tab. Add the extension to Chrome.
  3. That's it. After install, the connection completes automatically — no further clicks. Keep the tab open for a moment; the card updates to "Connected. Your Ninja is ready to run LinkedIn outreach." as soon as it's done.

If the extension asks you to open linkedin.com and sign in, do that in the same browser and it will finish on its own.

Which of my LinkedIn accounts is connected?

The one you were signed in to on linkedin.com in Chrome when you installed the extension. One agent works on exactly one LinkedIn account.

It's always your personal LinkedIn profile — never a company page. Connection requests and messages come from you as a person, because that's what works on LinkedIn: people accept invitations from people. Even if you manage a company page, outreach won't be sent from it.

My signup email is different from my LinkedIn email — is that a problem?

No. The email you signed up with and the email on your LinkedIn account don't need to match, and nothing breaks if they differ. The connection is made through the extension, not through your email address.

Does anything need to stay open?

No. The extension is only needed during setup (and if you ever need to reconnect). Once connected, your agent works server-side: you can close the extension, the tab, Chrome, and your laptop. Prospecting continues either way.

How to check the connection is live

  • No banner in the app = connected. If the connection ever drops, a banner appears at the top of the app asking you to reconnect, and we email you a reminder. If you don't see either, you're live.
  • Settings → Connections (avatar menu, top right) shows your LinkedIn connection status.
  • Check LinkedIn itself. Once outreach starts, open LinkedIn → My Network → your sent invitations. The connection requests your agent sends appear there, like any request you'd send by hand.

If the connection drops later

It happens occasionally — for example after you change your LinkedIn password or log out everywhere. Just follow the banner or the email: it reopens the same connect card, and reconnecting takes a minute. See Reconnect LinkedIn.
